A very well written, and quite interesting statement.
I can only speak for myself here, but not for one second during this did I take any of the statements about the coming saint hood of our man seriously, I mean this is more about an expression of peoples emotions. This is a weird time where things seem to be going crazy everywhere you look, I wouldn't be too shocked if I woke up tomorrow to find that the hill people had come and taken Eve in the night.
This looks more like people have found a simple image and message that they can latch on to, so they can express how much they are hurting at the moment whilst also having a lot of fun.
It's about the message not the man.
(Aside from that hail our new leader, your great-grandchildren shall tell stories about this day around a roaring campfire ).
